The purple color of the amethyst stone actually comes from the iron mineral inside it. Deep rich purple colors are the most valuable type. Amethysts are graded regardless of where they come from, with the highest quality, darkest specimens called “Siberian.” Medium quality stones are “Uruguayan” and lower quality examples are “Bahain”. Pale stones are called the “Rose of France”. These are the names given to the amethyst stones available on the market. Regardless of their color, all amethysts are valuable and full of energy.

Countries of Mining: Amethyst, mined in a wide area on Earth, has different names depending on its color and type. Main countries of origin; Mexico, Siberia, Uruguay, Zambia,  Brazil, Uruguay, Bolivia, Argentina, Zambia, Namibia, Africa. In our country  Amethyst is mined in Balıkesir - Dursunbey, Ordu-Fatsa, Yozgat-Şefaatli, Çanakkale- Lapseki, Ordu -Gölköy, Giresun Şebinkarahisar.

The most appropriate way to purify and clean amethyst is to bury it in dry soil at regular intervals and let it sit for a day. If your stone has a porous crystal structure, you can clean it by soaking it in clean water. Because soil and water are purifiers. There is a lot of contact with crystals in stores, and since many people's contact with stones will cause negative energy accumulation, you should definitely clean the new crystals you will buy before using them for the first time. You can also clean your amethyst with sunlight. Leaving it in sunlight for 30 minutes will clean your crystal... However, you must be very careful when doing this. Excessive exposure to sunlight and heat causes amethysts to discolour. For this reason, you should not leave it in the sun for a long time. Avoid contact with chemicals such as household cleaners or hairspray. To clean, scrub gently using a soft toothbrush or cloth and a solution of mild soap and warm water.
